Cyanogen Mod 9 Disables Root Access By Default
Well its a sad day for us devs. Cyanogen Mod 9 will not include root access built when you install the ROM. Rendering Super User useless. Well never fear, since the guys at CM say that you can re enable it via adding or installing it on your phone. But this isn't totally a bad thing since this could bring us one step closer to manufacturers putting CM9 on devices. Since it prevents users from messing with their phones (which is what they want.). Already, Republic Wireless has a modified version of CM running on their only phone which is the LG Optimus. But nevertheless the fact of installing an add on to get root access is just silly. Still, remember its open source so we could always release a version that does have root access built in (hint hint).
