Amazon Releases the Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Fire 2

It's about time that Amazon has cleared all the rumors that have followed about the Kindle Fire "2". Apparently this would not be the case as Amazon has released their newest e-readers, the Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Fire HD. (Amazon always releases more than 1 product!)

For the ones who have always wanted to read their books in the dark, the Paperwhite seems to solve that problem. It's the typical e-ink e-reader but adds in front lighting so that you can read all your books in the dark (would not be recommended though!) Amazon has also added this new "Paperwhite" display which adds some more color contrast and more brightness. The Kindle Paperwhite starts at $119 (get it at Amazon.com) and the 3G model will cost $179. (Both only ship Oct. 1) Overall the Paperwhite seems like a good buy, but this is mainly for the people who kind of had that problem with the screen etc. Other than that I think that you should save your $119 for something else when it comes out to be much better. For now folks stick to the regular Kindle.

The thing that most people have been waiting for though is the new Kindle Fire '2' or known officially as the Kindle Fire HD. The main difference? An HD screen and a larger 8.9 screen running on 1920 x 1200 resolution. The newest add ons to the device is the main front camera and the latest TI OMAP 4470 running at around 1 - 1.5gHZ. The 16GB (default) without 4G LTE starts at the price $299. The 32GB version with 4G LTE starts at $499. All models of the Kindle Fire HD will ship on November 20th. The Kindle Fire HD 7 inch (the older one) will come with the same new add ons as the Kindle Fire '2', but will be the same device as the regular Kindle. The starting price of the 7-inch one is at $199 (shipments start on September 14th.)
